Workshops for early childhood organisations are an addition to the services that we can facilitate.

Gardening Activities with Children
This workshop provides a range of activities for children to undertake in the outdoors ranging from vegetable/herb pots to designs with bulbs. Sessions can be facilitated with small groups of children as well as adults.

Enhancing Children's Play in the Outdoors
This workshop is tailored to the individual centre and examines how the outdoor environment can be extended in children's play. Suggestions are made for specific areas in the outdoors and how environmental and gardening activities can be accommodated in the daily program.

The Importance of Naturalistic Playspace/Playground Design
This workshop examines naturalistic playspaces/playgrounds and how they are of benefit to children in all areas of development. Examples of research and real-life projects are discussed.

Climate Change – Positive Strategies for Introducing, Exploring and Empowering Young Children

This session aims to look at ways we can introduce and explore sustainability, energy efficiency and climate change with young children. The focus will be on empowering children by building a sense of awareness and environmental understanding of the world in which they live. Practical examples and their outcomes will be investigated including how sustainability may be modelled in the early childhood setting.
